In 2020, Lucinda Striker moved across the country from California to Florida and began her real estate career. “When you’re starting out in a new location, you take a lot of leads that are well… well, you take any lead that might make a sale,” Lucinda recalls.
“A lot of people were calling looking for land. I quickly found myself driving around and looking for vacant lots. Our homes are a bit older here, so there’s a lot of people who want new construction or custom-built homes, so that first year we sold a lot of land and we still do sell a lot of land and new construction.”
Lucinda found that the challenge with selling land and new construction was that address were not always readily available. “I don’t remember who turned me on to LandGlide or if we discovered it just by google searching, but I started the one-week free trial and I was like ‘Oh my God this is most amazing thing in the world.’
Lucinda needed a solution to being able to take clients out to properties that didn’t yet have addresses. “With new construction we are driving around all the time and you can’t find it unless you put in the parcel ID. LandGlide allows us to search by the Parcel ID. I was just out with investors tracking down new construction that doesn’t show up on the map apps yet. I pulled up the properties on LandGlide, and we drove right to them. We will have four contracts executed from that tour, and LandGlide, again, made us look like we really knew our stuff!”
Lucinda’s area is home to the World Equestrian Facility, with lots of people moving to the area looking for large properties for horse farms. “Sometimes we’re looking at 40- or 50-acre properties. We need to know where the property boundaries go, we need to know if there’s water on the property, that we can’t see. I use LandGlide for that.”
A LandGlide advocate, Lucinda notes, “We have turned LandGlide on to a bunch of people outside of our company too- builders, investors. It’s really something we tell everyone about. We literally tell them ‘If you don’t have LandGlide then I don’t even know what you’re doing.’”
In just three years, Lucinda has grown her business from being newbies to her team closing 15 million in sales this year. “It’s been a really good year. It’s just me, my husband and then we added a team member this year.” Her husband and team member use LandGlide too, of course.
